Francis Wachira is the "Rabbit King". As a result of his courage and persistence for over two decades urban farming in Nairobi is now becoming more acceptable to local governments. The ability of people to have gardens, raise rabbits and chickens, produce food for their families is now becoming a movement.

His gardens have become a training and demonstration centre to assist those interested in urban farming. His work and successes have won praise and gained attention and admiration from around the world.
