Nairobi Urban Farmers

Juliana Wavinya has embraced urban farming as a way to nourish her family and generate income for her household. In addition to her vegetables and fruit gardens she also raises chickens. She is currently raising indigenous chickens because they and their eggs sell for a premium in the market.

Juliana is also a leader in a local Women's Hub and provides support, guidance and nutrition to women with HIV-AIDS.
